Bathrooms are one of the most common places small problems turn into big repairs. Water damage spreads slowly and often goes unnoticed until it becomes expensive.

Be sure to check the following:
1. Toilet does not wobble (Broken flange, loose bolts, etc)
2. No cracks in the tub, shower pan, or tiles
3. No cracks, gaps or peeling in caulk around tub, sink, or toilet

🛠 Weekly Home Maintenance Check

This week take 5 minutes to check these:

Press the test button on smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to make sure the alarm sounds. Replace batteries if needed.
Check that fire extinguishers are fully charged and not expired so they’re ready in an emergency.

2. Test GFCI Outlets

Press the “Test” button on GFCI outlets (usually found in kitchens, bathrooms, and garages). The outlet should immediately shut off power.
Then press “Reset” to restore power. If it doesn’t trip or reset properly, the outlet may need to be replaced.

3. Clean Garbage Disposal with Ice/Citrus & Remove Waste

Drop a handful of ice cubes into the disposal and run it to help knock off built-up grime from the blades.
Then grind a few citrus peels (like lemon or orange) to freshen the smell and help remove residue.

If your door seal is hanging from your door jam be sure to stuff it back into the crack. If it wont stay, is worn down, or torn be sure to replace.

🧰 Tool I Actually Use

I debated putting this on the deal of the week because of the sale, but it is one of my most used tools for sure.

Everyone should own a reliable drill.

💰 Tool Deal of the Week

A great deal on some high quality Dewalt screwdriver bits and a nice hard carrying case. This is currently 35% off!!
